Business ManagementAn enterprise can be looked at from two perspectives, static and dynamic. The static mode looks at those things that do not change or change very slowly after review. The dynamic mode looks at those things that are changing all the time, i.e. throughput. Throughput is defined as the data and materials that are transformed via the business processes and product-specific processes. Generally the static elements must be managed while the dynamic elements are supervised. Management involves deliberation, consultation and review while supervision involves daily task allocation, monitoring and on-the-spot decisions. |
